Kids Against the War
 
 
Our Purpose The purpose for K.A.W is to try to stop the war. Instead of adults making all the effort we want us kids to be involved and in charge of our own groups, and work for the things we believe in. A lot of innocent people are dying in the war, like family and friends, when they don’t have to. There are some other reasons we are against the war. For one, we believe the President is fighting for the oil that is in Iraq. Also he thinks the people that did 9/11 were Iraqis. But the leader of the group that did 9/11, he and Sadam Hussein hated each other. They would not even speak to each other. The President thinks that if we stop fighting the Iraqis would come to the U.S as terrorists and start a war here. The cost of the war is way too much. Right now the cost of the war is in the area of billions of dollars and it is increasing every second. With the money that we are using for the war we could have insured millions of children, we could have built millions of public houses, and we could have also hired millions of public school teachers. But still keep in mind, even if you don’t support the war, you can still support the soldiers whose purpose is keeping our country safe. KAW is a voluntary organization of 5th grade students at La Escuela Fratney in Milwaukee WI.
